Shrinking violet is not a term you associate with polo, whether players, patrons, officials or spectators. Strutting peacocks fanning tail-feathers are closer to home. Yet peacocks are scarcely visible compared with Claudia Hodari, the forty-something, Argentine- American, larger-than-life founder-director of FEM Polo, international impresario of the ladies’ game. With tousled brown hair and luminescent grey-blue eyes, the mother-of-four talks like a river in full flood, a life force bigger than Ben Hur. Take her role in harnessing polo to promote world peace:

Panamericano  Bariloche FEM Snow Polo was a historic polo event and a very successful highlight for an international gathering of fascinating women pòlo players . Women from 15 countries and 4 continents came to Bariloche, Argentina at the end of August to play polo on snow for the first time ever in the world. 4 Teams participated. They represented North America who challenged Europe for the Northern Hemisphere Championship while Africa battled South America battled for the Southern Hemisphere Championship.
Maria Bensadon Heguyplaying for El Paraiso , along with her sister Ines Bensadon Heguy and the organizer Claudia Hodari all from Argentina and representing the continent of South America won BEST goal with a spectacular shot against Escorihuela Gascon / Aerolinas Argentinas during the Catalina Reynal Cup final.
San Diego Halloween
